The Great Commission (Mat.28:18-20) is the driving force for the Church’s mission. The Spiritans, faithful to the Great Commission, first evangelized the Maasai about a century ago. A lot has changed in that time. The world is changing rapidly because of advances in science and information technology. Evangelization to the Maasai is subject to the reality of globalization. The key question that this book answers is, how can the Spiritan mission contribute to evangelization of the Maasai to meet the challenges of modernity and globalization?

The challenge to the Spiritans is how to evangelize the Maasai without uprooting them from their culture; in other words, to ensure they are truly Maasai and truly Christian.

The book offers recommendations for a more effective evangelization of the Maasai, among which are strategic liberation towards new evangelization.
