Greetings in the Holy Spirit!
American Spiritans are involved in missionary work both here and abroad. Ministries include parish ministry, educational works, and a variety of special ministries such as chaplaincies, retreat ministries, and service to refugees. We are available for international Spiritan teams and have a preference for cross-cultural ministries.
Those with an interest in joining the Spiritans come through our formation program's three stages of religious formation: pre-novitiate, novitiate and post-novitiate. In this process the candidate will learn about the specific vows essential to the Spiritan way of life.
We believe that "candidates for Spiritan life are a gift from God.
We accept them as such and welcome the ways in which they enrich the Congregation" (Spiritan Rule of Life #103).
We are indeed grateful to God for those who have been sent to our community. It is our pleasure to accompany the candidate in the process of mutual discernment in their call to our congregation's religious missionary life
I invite you to ask God if there's something He wants you to do.
With prayers and best wishes,
Brother Michael Suazo, C. S. Sp.
